We are Wellness Studio that has been in operation for over 5 years. They provide services such as Ayurveda consultations, massage therapies, yoga classes, and skincare treatments. The center is committed to promoting natural health and wellness through Ayurveda, which is an ancient system of medicine that originated in India. Ayurvawellness believes that Ayurveda can help people achieve balance and harmony in their lives by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The center aims to provide a relaxing and rejuvenating environment for clients to experience the benefits of Ayurveda.
Challenges
Our wellness center has been thriving for over 5 years, and we take pride in serving our clients and employees. However, we face significant challenges in staffing our front desk concierge and sales associates, who are critical to the day-to-day operations of our business.
Here are some of the challenges we face:
- Finding and hiring talented staff is difficult due to the competitive economic conditions in our area.
- High costs are associated with hiring, including meeting high wages and benefits, as well as advertising costs and challenges.
- Training new staff and managing them on an ongoing basis is challenging, and requires a significant investment of time and resources.
- Retaining employees for the long term is very difficult due to the high cost of living in our area.
- Despite our best efforts, we have struggled to find reliable and dependable concierges in the current economic climate. While we have been fortunate to find good employees, we have also experienced a high turnover rate, which leads to constant hiring efforts and training of new staff.
As a small business owner, we act as the backup staff in case our front desk staff is sick or leaves. However, this is a constant struggle, and we are always seeking ways to improve our staffing situation.
